The Result Analysis Report is sent as an attached PDF file. You can open the attachment immediately or save it for a group surprise—how you share the exciting news is entirely up to you!

The lab scientists isolate cell-free fetal DNA from the mother’s blood, followed by amplification of both Y-chromosome and autosomal-specific regions using the latest quantitative real-time PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) technology. Analysts are looking for the presence of the Y chromosome, which only males have. If the Y chromosome is present, then the baby is a boy; if it is not present, then baby is a girl, its that easy.
